Booneville Blue Devils (Booneville, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Ripley Tigers (Ripley, MS), 4-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Blue Devils now own a 6-0 record. They take the field next when they host Mantachie for a 3A Region 1 challenge on Tuesday, March 28. Booneville will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over D'Iberville (D'Iberville, MS). The Mustangs record now stands at 12-1.

With the loss, Ripley falls to 7-8 on the campaign. The Tigers host South Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS) to face the Cougars in a 4A Region 2 challenge on Tuesday, March 28. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 6-0. South Pontotoc won 12-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Lafayette (Oxford, MS)
