North Carolina High School Softball - Bunker Hill bounces Newton-Conover

The Bunker Hill Bears routed the visiting Newton-Conover Red Devils softball squad by a count of 12-2 in Friday's league battle.

The Bears (2-6) will now prepare for their battle against Bandys (Catawba, NC). The Trojans go into the Catawba Valley Athletic 2A battle with a 8-2 record. In their last battle, Bandys topped West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC), 4-0, in a league battle.

The Red Devils now sport a 0-6 record. They play next when they host Maiden for a Catawba Valley Athletic 2A battle on Tuesday, March 28. Newton-Conover will meet a Blue Devils squad coming off a 18-1 league win over Lincolnton (Lincolnton, NC). The Blue Devils record now stands at 9-1.
