Fans at Monday's league battle between the Kings Mountain Mountaineers (Kings Mountain, NC) and the visiting North Gaston Wildcats (Dallas, NC), saw Kings Mountain's soccer squad triumph over North Gaston by a count of 5-0.

The Mountaineers (2-4) will now prepare for their battle against Crest (Shelby, NC). The Chargers enter the Big South 3A battle with a 4-4 record. In their last battle, Crest tipped Stuart W. Cramer (Belmont, NC), 4-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Wildcats battle the South Point Red Raiders (Belmont, NC) in a Big South 3A battle, on Friday, March 28. North Gaston will attempt to upgrade on its 0-8 season record. The Red Raiders enter the battle with a 6-2 record after their 11-0 league win over Huss (Gastonia, NC).
