North Carolina High School Baseball - Alexander Central loses to Watauga

In Friday's league game, the host Watauga Pioneers baseball team scored a tight 6-0 victory over the Alexander Central Cougars.
The Pioneers (7-2) will now prepare for their game against Hibriten (Lenoir, NC). The Panthers go into the Northwestern 3A/4A game with a 7-4 record. In their last game, Hibriten tipped Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC), 11-1, in a league game.
The Cougars (9-1) will now prepare for their game against South Caldwell (Hudson, NC). The Spartans go into the Northwestern 3A/4A game with a 6-4 record. In their last game, South Caldwell tipped Freedom (Morganton, NC), 7-3, in a league game.
