Salado Eagles (Salado, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Burnet Bulldogs (Burnet, TX), 11-4 in a league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 14-6 record. They take the field next when they host Gateway College Preparatory for a 4A Region III District 19 challenge on Tuesday, March 29. Salado will battle a Gators squad coming off a 7-5 league loss to Jarrell (Jarrell, TX). The Gators record now stands at 6-9.

With the loss, Burnet falls to 16-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Taylor (Taylor, TX) to battle the Ducks in a 4A Region III District 19 challenge on Tuesday, March 29. The Ducks enter the challenge with a record of 11-2. Taylor won 9-2 in their recent league challenge against Jarrell (Jarrell, TX)
