The Starmount Rams softball team scored 12 runs and limited the host Elkin Buckin' Elks to 3 in the Rams league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Starmount improves its record to 8-1 on the year. The Rams host South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC) to clash with the Sauras in a Northwest 1A game on Tuesday, March 29. The Sauras come into the game with a record of 8-2. South Stokes lost 4-3 in their recent league game against East Wilkes (Ronda, NC)

In their next game, the Buckin' Elks clash with the Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC) in a Northwest 1A game, on Tuesday, March 29. Elkin will attempt to improve on its 4-3 season record. The Trojans come into the game with a 0-9 record after their 13-0 league loss to East Wilkes (Ronda, NC).
