Spectators at Tuesday's league match between the Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC) and the visiting Elkin Buckin' Elks (Elkin, NC), witnessed Starmount's softball squad tip Elkin by a count of 9-8.

The Rams now sport a 14-1 record. They play next when they travel to South Stokes for a Northwest 1A game on Friday, April 22. Starmount will clash with a Sauras team coming off a 14-1 non-league win over North Surry (Mount Airy, NC). The Sauras record now stands at 13-3.

In their next game, the Buckin' Elks clash with the Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, April 20. Elkin will attempt to move on its 9-7 season record. The Huskies go into the match with a 2-11 record after their 9-3 league loss to Hibriten (Lenoir, NC).
