Spectators at Saturday's league match between the Esperanza Aztecs (Anaheim, CA) and the visiting Villa Park Spartans (Villa Park, CA), witnessed Esperanza's softball squad tip Villa Park by a count of 5-0.

The Aztecs now sport a 12-2 record. They play next when they host Yorba Linda for a North Hills match on Monday, March 27. Esperanza will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 6-1 non-league loss to Tesoro (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA). The Mustangs record now stands at 3-6.

With the loss, Villa Park moves to 12-4 on the season. The Spartans travel to Capistrano Valley (Mission Viejo, CA) to face the Cougars in a non-league match on Thursday, March 30. The Cougars go into the match with a record of 8-1. Capistrano Valley won 9-2 in their recent non-league match against Mira Costa (Manhattan Beach, CA)
