California High School Softball - Esperanza gets by Villa Park

The Esperanza Aztecs got by the visiting Villa Park Spartans softball squad by a count of 2-1 in Monday's league battle.

The Aztecs (18-6) will now prepare for their battle against Canyon (Anaheim, CA). The Comanches go into the Crestview battle with a 17-9 record. In their last battle, Canyon nudged El Modena (Orange, CA), 5-0, in a league battle.

The Spartans now sport a 16-10 record. They play next when they travel to El Modena for a Crestview battle on Wednesday, April 26. Villa Park will meet a Vanguards squad coming off a 5-0 league loss to Canyon (Anaheim, CA). The Vanguards record now stands at 14-12.
