In Monday's non-league game, the visiting Scotland Fighting Scots baseball team scored a tight 9-8 victory over the Western Harnett Eagles.
The Fighting Scots (7-2) will now prepare for their game against Triton (Erwin, NC). The Hawks go into the non-league game with a 6-5 record. In their last game, Triton tipped Westover (Fayetteville, NC), 21-0, in a league game.
The Eagles (4-8) will now prepare for their game against Overhills (Spring Lake, NC). The Jaguars go into the All American 3A/4A game with a 4-5 record. In their last game, Overhills tipped E.E. Smith (Fayetteville, NC), 24-5, in a league game.
