In Monday's league contest, the Northeastern Eagles (Elizabeth City, NC) softball team held off the visiting Hertford County Bears (Ahoskie, NC), by a margin of 12-11.

With the triumph, Northeastern moves its record to 2-7 on the year. The Eagles host Hertford County (Ahoskie, NC) to clash with the Bears in a Northeastern Coastal 2A/3A test on Monday, March 25.
