Spectators at Monday's league match between the Northeastern Eagles (Elizabeth City, NC) and the visiting Hertford County Bears (Ahoskie, NC), witnessed Northeastern's softball squad tip Hertford County by a count of 13-9.

The Eagles now sport a 2-7 record. They play next when they travel to Camden County for a Northeastern Coastal 2A/3A match on Tuesday, April 9. Northeastern will face a Bruins squad coming off a 3-0 league win over First Flight (Kill Devil Hills, NC). The Bruins record now stands at 7-1.
