The Cherryville Ironmen triumphed over the host Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons softball squad by a count of 21-4 in Tuesday's league challenge.
Next, the Ironmen play the Lincoln Charter Eagles (Denver, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, March 26. Cherryville will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record. The Eagles enter the challenge with a 7-3 record after their 2-0 league loss to Pine Lake Prep (Mooresville, NC).
The Gryphons (0-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Cherryville (Cherryville, NC). The Ironmen enter the Southern Piedmont 1A/2A challenge with a 7-5 record. In their last challenge, Cherryville was routed by Lincoln Charter (Denver, NC), 4-3, in a non-league challenge.
