The Draughn Wildcats softball team scored 14 runs and held the visiting Mitchell Mountaineers to 2 in the Wildcats league win on Tuesday.

The Wildcats now possess a 8-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mitchell for a Western Highlands 1A/2A battle on Thursday, March 27. Draughn will confront a Mountaineers team coming off a 14-2 league loss to Draughn (Valdese, NC). The Mountaineers record now stands at 4-5.

With the loss, Mitchell moves to 4-5 on the season. The Mountaineers host Draughn (Valdese, NC) to confront the Wildcats in a Western Highlands 1A/2A battle on Thursday, March 27.
