North Carolina High School Softball - Monroe drops to Hickory Grove Christian

Hickory Grove Christian Lions (Charlotte, NC) supporters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad topple the host Monroe Redhawks (Monroe, NC), 24-3 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Hickory Grove Christian improves its record to 6-6 on the year. The Lions travel to Queen's Grant (Matthews, NC) to face the Stallions in a non-league game on Thursday, March 27. The Stallions enter the game with a record of 11-0. Queen's Grant won 16-1 in their recent non-league game against Monroe (Monroe, NC)

The Redhawks now hold a 1-10 record. They play next when they host Piedmont for a Rocky River 2A/3A game on Thursday, March 27. Monroe will face a Panthers squad coming off a 10-0 league win over Anson (Wadesboro, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 8-4.
