The Santa Rosa Warriors softball team scored 24 runs and held the visiting Progreso Red Ants to 9 in the Warriors league win on Tuesday.

The Warriors now sport a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lyford for a 3A Region IV District 32 battle on Friday, March 28. Santa Rosa will encounter a Bulldogs team coming off a 8-5 non-league loss to Sinton (Sinton, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-9.

With the loss, Progreso moves to 3-2 on the season. The Red ants host Raymondville (Raymondville, TX) to encounter the Bearkats in a non-league battle on Friday, March 28. The Bearkats come into the battle with a record of 5-12. Raymondville won 20-19 in their recent league battle against Rio Hondo (Rio Hondo, TX)
