Crest Chargers (Shelby, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host North Gaston Wildcats (Dallas, NC), 17-3 in a league challenge.

The Chargers now own a 8-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ashbrook for a Big South 3A contest on Thursday, March 28. Crest will play a Greenwave team coming off a 25-4 league loss to Stuart W. Cramer (Belmont, NC). The Greenwave record now stands at 1-7.

In their next game, the Wildcats play the Forestview Jaguars (Gastonia, NC) in a Big South 3A contest, on Thursday, March 28. North Gaston will attempt to move on its 2-6 season record. The Jaguars come into the contest with a 6-4 record after their 13-1 league win over Huss (Gastonia, NC).
