Lawrence County Cougars (Monticello, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Richland Rangers (Richland, MS), 10-0 in a league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 9-6 record. They take the field next when they host Raymond for a 4A Region 6 challenge on Thursday, March 28. Lawrence County will battle a Rangers squad coming off a 20-2 league loss to Richland (Richland, MS). The Rangers record now stands at 3-3.

With the loss, Richland falls to 7-9 on the campaign. The Rangers host McComb (McComb, MS) to battle the Tigers in a 4A Region 6 game on Wednesday, March 27. The Tigers come into the game with a record of 3-8. McComb lost 16-3 in their recent non-league game against Bogue Chitto (Bogue Chitto, MS)
