The crowd at Thursday's league match between the Lawrence County Cougars (Monticello, MS) and the host Richland Rangers (Richland, MS), saw Lawrence County's softball squad achieve victory over Richland by a count of 19-4.

The Cougars now sport a 12-6 record. They take the field next when they host Puckett for a non-league match on Friday, April 5. Lawrence County will face a Wolves squad coming off a 17-0 league win over St. Andrew's Episcopal (Ridgeland, MS). The Wolves record now stands at 19-5.

With the loss, Richland falls to 8-11 on the campaign. The Rangers host Warren Central (Vicksburg, MS) to face the Vikings in a non-league match on Saturday, April 6. The Vikings enter the match with a record of 15-4. Warren Central won 21-0 in their recent league match against Ridgeland (Ridgeland, MS)
