Pineville Rebels (Pineville, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Ruston Bearcats (Ruston, LA), 17-8 in a league challenge.

The Rebels now own a 12-11 record. They take the field next when they host Alexandria for a 5A District 2 challenge on Thursday, March 28. Pineville will battle a Trojans squad coming off a 15-5 league loss to Ouachita Parish (Monroe, LA). The Trojans record now stands at 13-14.

With the loss, Ruston falls to 15-11 on the campaign. The Bearcats host West Ouachita (West Monroe, LA) to battle the Chiefs in a 5A District 2 challenge on Thursday, March 28. The Chiefs enter the challenge with a record of 15-9. West Ouachita lost 10-0 in their recent league challenge against West Monroe (West Monroe, LA)
