Spectators at Wednesday's league battle between the Ashley Screaming Eagle (Wilmington, NC) and the visiting Topsail Pirates (Hampstead, NC), saw Ashley's baseball squad knock off Topsail by a count of 13-2.

Coming up next, the Screaming Eagle play the Palisades Pumas (Charlotte, NC) in a non-league battle, on Monday, April 1. Ashley will attempt to move on its 10-2 season record.

The Pirates now possess a 6-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Southern Lee for a non-league battle on Monday, April 1. Topsail will play a Cavaliers squad coming off a 14-0 league win over Hoke County (Raeford, NC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 4-9.
