In Thursday's league game, the host Alexandria Trojans baseball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Ruston Bearcats.
The Trojans (13-12) will now prepare for their game against Calvary Baptist Academy (Shreveport, LA). The Cavaliers enter the non-league game with a 17-8 record. In their last game, Calvary Baptist Academy held off North Caddo (Vivian, LA), 13-0, in a non-league game.
Next, the Bearcats face the Ouachita Christian Eagles (Monroe, LA) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, April 1. Ruston will attempt to improve on its 21-7 season record. The Eagles enter the game with a 12-13 record after their 5-4 non-league loss to West Monroe (West Monroe, LA).
