Fans at Thursday's league battle between the South Stokes Sauras (Walnut Cove, NC) and the visiting Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC), saw South Stokes's soccer squad knock off Starmount by a score of 4-1.

The Sauras (4-2) will now prepare for their battle against Elkin (Elkin, NC). The Buckin' Elks enter the Northwest 1A battle with a 4-3 record. In their last battle, Elkin tipped Alleghany (Sparta, NC), 1-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Rams confront the East Surry Cardinals (Pilot Mountain, NC) in a non-league battle, on Monday, March 31. Starmount will attempt to improve on its 2-6 season record. The Cardinals enter the battle with a 7-1 record after their 3-0 league loss to Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC).
