The Johnson Central Golden Eagles softball team scored 14 runs and held the visiting Magoffin County Hornets to 0 in the Golden Eagles league win on Thursday.

The Golden Eagles now sport a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Barberton for a non-league battle on Monday, March 31. Johnson Central will encounter a Magics team coming off a 10-3 non-league win over Chippewa (Doylestown, OH). The Magics record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Magoffin County moves to 2-6 on the season. The Hornets travel to Paintsville (Paintsville, KY) to encounter the Tigers in a District 57 battle on Monday, March 31. The Tigers come into the battle with a record of 2-4. Paintsville lost 10-2 in their recent non-league battle against Bethel (Tipp City, OH)
