In Friday's league game, the visiting Smithson Valley Rangers baseball team scored a close 4-2 win over the Pieper Warriors.

The Rangers (19-4) will now prepare for their match against New Braunfels (New Braunfels, TX). The Unicorns come into the 5A Region IV District 26 match with a 14-7 record. In their last match, New Braunfels by Midway (Waco, TX), 6-0, in a non-league match.

The Warriors now have a 11-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Boerne-Champion for a 5A Region IV District 26 game on Tuesday, March 31. Pieper will battle a Chargers squad coming off a 12-6 league win over Boerne (Boerne, TX). The Chargers record now stands at 20-3.
