Spectators at Monday's non-league match between the Carson Cougars (China Grove, NC) and the host A.L. Brown Wonders (Kannapolis, NC), witnessed Carson's softball squad tip A.L. Brown by a count of 9-5.

The Cougars now sport a 4-6 record. They play next when they travel to South Rowan for a South Piedmont 3A match on Tuesday, March 29. Carson will face a Raiders squad coming off a 9-0 non-league win over South Davidson (Denton, NC). The Raiders record now stands at 7-4.

With the loss, A.L. Brown moves to 7-5 on the season. The Wonders travel to Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC) to face the Ragin' Bulls in a Greater Metro 4A match on Friday, April 1. The Ragin' Bulls go into the match with a record of 9-3. Hickory Ridge won 3-2 in their recent non-league match against Central Cabarrus (Concord, NC)
