The Carson Cougars routed the visiting A.L. Brown Wonders softball squad by a count of 12-2 in Thursday's non-league battle.

The Cougars (11-10) will now prepare for their battle against Lake Norman Charter (Huntersville, NC). The Knights go into the South Piedmont 3A battle with a 4-17 record. In their last battle, Lake Norman Charter was routed by Central Cabarrus (Concord, NC), 10-5, in a league battle.

The Wonders now sport a 11-10 record.
