Albuquerque Academy Chargers (Albuquerque, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Valley Vikings (Albuquerque, NM), 6-5 in a league challenge.

The Chargers now own a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they host Hope Christian for a 4A District 6 challenge on Friday, March 31. Albuquerque Academy will face a Huskies squad coming off a 23-1 non-league win over Sandia Prep (Albuquerque, NM). The Huskies record now stands at 4-5.

With the loss, Valley falls to 4-12 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Albuquerque (Albuquerque, NM) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 30. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 10-5. Albuquerque won 9-1 in their recent non-league challenge against West Mesa (Albuquerque, NM)
