West Greene Pioneers (Waynesburg, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Avella Eagles (Avella, PA), 15-0 in a league challenge.

The Pioneers now own a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they host Bethlehem Center for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 29. West Greene will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 12-1 non-league loss to Carmichaels (Carmichaels, PA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Avella falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Eagles host Mapletown (Greensboro, PA) to face the Maples in a WPIAL 1A 2 challenge on Thursday, March 30. The Maples enter the challenge with a record of 2-1. Mapletown lost 15-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Charleroi (Charleroi, PA)
