Sweetwater Mustangs (Sweetwater, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Big Spring Steers (Big Spring, TX), 15-13 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now sport a 6-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Estacado for a 4A Region I District 5 challenge on Friday, March 31. Sweetwater will face a Matadors squad coming off a 10-0 league loss to Snyder (Snyder, TX). The Matadors record now stands at 9-17.

With the loss, Big Spring falls to 7-7 on the campaign. The Steers travel to Levelland (Levelland, TX) to face the Lobos in a 4A Region I District 5 challenge on Friday, March 31. The Lobos go into the battle with a record of 20-4. Levelland won 17-0 in their recent league battle against Lake View (San Angelo, TX)
