In Tuesday's non-league contest, the Rio Grande Ravens (Albuquerque, NM) softball team overwhelmed the host Highland Hornets (Albuquerque, NM), by a margin of 15-0.
With the triumph, Rio Grande moves its record to 8-6 on the year. The Ravens travel to Capital (Santa Fe, NM) to play the Jaguars in a 5A District 5 contest on Saturday, April 1. The Jaguars come into the contest with a record of 10-2. Capital won 10-8 in their recent non-league contest against St. Michael's (Santa Fe, NM)
In their next game, the Hornets play the Belen Eagles (Belen, NM) in a 4A District 5 contest, on Thursday, March 30. Highland will attempt to move on its 0-16 season record. The Eagles come into the contest with a 9-7 record after their 11-1 league loss to St. Pius X (Albuquerque, NM).
