Mooreville Troopers (Mooreville, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Itawamba Agricultural Indians (Fulton, MS), 8-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Troopers now own a 3-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Caledonia for a 4A Region 1 challenge on Thursday, March 30. Mooreville will battle a Cavaliers squad coming off a 15-4 league win over Shannon (Shannon, MS). The Cavaliers record now stands at 7-2.

With the loss, Itawamba Agricultural falls to 11-6 on the campaign. The Indians host Corinth (Corinth, MS) to battle the Warriors in a 4A Region 1 challenge on Thursday, March 30. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 9-3. Corinth won 11-2 in their recent league challenge against Tishomingo County (Iuka, MS)
