Salisbury Hornets (Salisbury, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Lexington Yellowjackets (Lexington, NC), 20-7 in a league challenge.

The Hornets now own a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they host West Davidson for a Central Carolina 1A/2A challenge on Wednesday, March 29. Salisbury will battle a Dragons squad coming off a 14-0 league win over North Rowan (Spencer, NC). The Dragons record now stands at 7-4.

With the loss, Lexington falls to 0-7 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host North Rowan (Spencer, NC) to battle the Cavaliers in a Central Carolina 1A/2A challenge on Friday, March 31. The Cavaliers enter the challenge with a record of 3-2. North Rowan lost 14-0 in their recent league challenge against West Davidson (Lexington, NC)
