Spectators at Thursday's league match between the Decatur Eagles (Decatur, TX) and the host Bridgeport Bulls (Bridgeport, TX), witnessed Decatur's softball squad tip Bridgeport by a count of 7-2.

The Eagles now sport a 6-15 record. They play next when they host Lake Worth for a 4A Region I District 8 match on Tuesday, April 2. Decatur will meet a Bullfrogs squad coming off a 15-11 league loss to Castleberry (Fort Worth, TX). The Bullfrogs record now stands at 9-13.

With the loss, Bridgeport moves to 4-7 on the season. The Bulls travel to Springtown (Springtown, TX) to meet the Porcupines in a 4A Region I District 8 match on Tuesday, April 2. The Porcupines go into the match with a record of 5-6. Springtown lost 10-0 in their recent league match against Krum (Krum, TX)
