Spectators at Thursday's league match between the Shelby Valley Wildcats (Pikeville, KY) and the visiting East Ridge Warriors (Lick Creek, KY), witnessed Shelby Valley's softball squad tip East Ridge by a count of 2-1.

The Wildcats now sport a 2-4 record. They play next when they travel to Belfry for a non-league match on Monday, April 1. Shelby Valley will meet a Pirates squad coming off a 8-0 non-league loss to Chapmanville Regional (Chapmanville, WV). The Pirates record now stands at 5-2.

The Warriors (4-3) will now prepare for their test against River View (Bradshaw, WV). The Raiders enter the non-league test with a 1-2 record.
