The Shelby Valley Wildcats routed the host East Ridge Warriors softball squad by a final score of 17-0 in Thursday's league battle.

The Wildcats (7-7) will now prepare for their battle against Pikeville (Pikeville, KY). The Panthers go into the District 59 battle with a 11-7 record. In their last battle, Pikeville notched a victory over Pike County Central (Pikeville, KY), 7-3, in a non-league battle.

The Warriors now possess a 8-9 record. They play next when they host Prestonsburg for a non-league battle on Monday, April 29. East Ridge will confront a Blackcats squad coming off a 5-3 non-league loss to Elliott County (Sandy Hook, KY). The Blackcats record now stands at 6-12.
