The Mt. Vernon-Enola Warhawks (Mt. Vernon, AR) softball the host Izard County Cougars (Brockwell, AR), 7-5 in Thursday's league bout.

The Warhawks (2-2) will now prepare for their bout against Cedar Ridge (Newark, AR). The Timberwolves go into the 2A Region 2 bout with a 4-4 record.

The Cougars now possess a 3-4 record. They play next when they travel to South Side for a 2A Region 2 bout on Friday, March 29. Izard County will confront a Hornet squad coming off a 15-0 league win over White County Central (Judsonia, AR). The Hornet record now stands at 10-3.
