Philip Barbour Colts (Philippi, WV) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Lincoln Cougars (Shinnston, WV), 16-6 in a league challenge.

The Colts now own a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bridgeport for a Big Ten challenge on Tuesday, April 2. Philip Barbour will face a Indians squad coming off a 15-2 league loss to North Marion (Farmington, WV). The Indians record now stands at 1-5.

With the loss, Lincoln falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Riverside (Painesville, OH) to face the Beavers in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 29. The Beavers enter the challenge with a record of 3-3. Riverside lost 4-3 in their recent non-league challenge against James Madison (Vienna, VA)
