The crowd at Friday's league battle between the Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes (Monroe, GA) and the visiting East Hall Vikings (Gainesville, GA), saw Monroe Area's baseball team gain a win over East Hall by a tally of 12-1.

The Purple Hurricanes (8-12) will now prepare for their battle against Jefferson (Jefferson, GA). The Dragons enter the AAA Region 8 battle with a 10-12 record. In their last battle, Jefferson was overwhelmed by Cherokee Bluff (Flowery Branch, GA), 13-5, in a league battle.

Next, the Vikings face the West Hall Spartans (Oakwood, GA) in a AAA Region 8 battle, on Tuesday, April 1. East Hall will attempt to upgrade on its 6-15 season record. The Spartans enter the battle with a 6-15 record after their 7-5 league loss to Oconee County (Watkinsville, GA).
