The Floydada Whirlwinds the visiting Clarendon Broncos softball squad by a count of 8-6 in Friday's league challenge.
Next, the Whirlwinds play the Quanah Indians (Quanah, TX) in a 1A Region I District 2 challenge, on Tuesday, April 1. Floydada will attempt to upgrade on its 18-5 season record.
The Broncos (13-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Highland Park (Amarillo, TX). The Hornets enter the non-league challenge with a 5-12 record.
