Ironton Fighting Tigers (Ironton, OH) supporters left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Portsmouth Trojans (Portsmouth, OH), 13-3 in a league game.

With the triumph, Ironton improves its record to 3-0 on the year. The Fighting Tigers travel to Huntington (Huntington, WV) to play the Highlanders in a non-league game on Monday, March 31. The Highlanders enter the game with a record of 2-7. Huntington lost 14-7 in their recent non-league game against Logan (Logan, WV)

The Trojans now hold a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Northwest for a non-league game on Monday, March 31. Portsmouth will play a Mohawks squad coming off a 19-1 non-league loss to Manchester (Manchester, OH). The Mohawks record now stands at 2-2.
