The Ironton Fighting Tigers (Ironton, OH) softball the host Portsmouth Trojans (Portsmouth, OH), 8-5 in Wednesday's league outing.

The Fighting Tigers now sport a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Blazer for a non-league outing on Thursday, April 10. Ironton will encounter a Tomcats team coming off a 22-12 non-league win over Russell (Russell, KY). The Tomcats record now stands at 8-4.

With the loss, Portsmouth moves to 2-6 on the season. The Trojans travel to Fairland (Proctorville, OH) to encounter the Dragons in a Ohio Valley outing on Thursday, April 10.
