In Friday's league match, the host Santa Margarita Eagles softball team scored a tight 5-2 win over the Mater Dei Monarchs.

The Dolphins come into the match with a 6-6 record after their 9-5 league loss to Tesoro (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA).
