Santa Margarita Eagles (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA) backers left the game pleased Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Mater Dei Monarchs (Santa Ana, CA), 7-5 in a league game.

With the triumph, Santa Margarita upgrades its record to 13-5 on the year. The Eagles host Mission Viejo (Mission Viejo, CA) to play the Diablos in a non-league game on Wednesday, April 9. The Diablos go into the bout with a record of 10-10. Mission Viejo won 2-1 in their recent non-league bout against Esperanza (Anaheim, CA)

In their next game, the Monarchs battle the JSerra Catholic Lions (San Juan Capistrano, CA) in a Trinity bout, on Friday, April 11. Mater Dei will attempt to better on its 12-10 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 12-10 record after their 2-1 league loss to Orange Lutheran (Orange, CA).
