Willis Wildkats (Willis, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Oak Ridge War Eagles (Conroe, TX), 5-3 in a league challenge.

The Wildkats now own a 8-14 record. They take the field next when they travel to Grand Oaks for a 6A Region II District 13 challenge on Friday, April 1. Willis will battle a Grizzlies squad coming off a 6-5 league win over The Woodlands (The Woodlands, TX). The Grizzlies record now stands at 6-5.

With the loss, Oak Ridge falls to 9-8 on the campaign. The War eagles travel to College Park (The Woodlands, TX) to battle the Cavaliers in a 6A Region II District 13 challenge on Friday, April 1. The Cavaliers enter the challenge with a record of 15-2.
