The Jefferson County Warriors baseball team scored 13 runs and limited the host Laney Wildcats to 1 in the Warriors league victory on Thursday.
The Warriors (6-1) will now prepare for their match against Washington County (Sandersville, GA). The Golden Hawks go into the non-league match with a 0-8 record. In their last match, Washington County was overwhelmed by First Presbyterian Day (Macon, GA), 13-3, in a non-league match.
The Wildcats (0-2) will now prepare for their match against Oglethorpe County (Lexington, GA). The Patriots go into the AA Region 4 match with a 5-5 record. In their last match, Oglethorpe County was overwhelmed by Flowery Branch (Flowery Branch, GA), 11-1, in a non-league match.
