Carmel Greyhounds (Carmel, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Hamilton Southeastern Royals (Fishers, IN), 26-23 in a non-league challenge.
The Greyhounds now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lawrence North for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 12.
With the loss, Hamilton Southeastern falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Royals travel to Tecumseh (Lynnville, IN) to battle the Braves in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 8. The Braves enter the challenge with a record of 1-0.
Game Summary
The Royals fell short Wednesday night, at the slugfest, vs. Carmel Highschool. The Royals were led offensively by Jenna Chase with a 3-run homerun, Stephanie Penny with a 2-run homerun, and Alex Kiemeyer with a solo shot to left field. The Royals are back in action, in Terre Haute, on April 9th.
