Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes (Pojoaque, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Moriarty Pintos (Moriarty, NM), 17-7 in a league challenge.
The Elks/Elkettes now own a 6-9 record. They take the field next when they host Taos for a 4A District 2 challenge on Wednesday, April 6.
With the loss, Moriarty falls to 4-8 on the campaign. The Pintos host Espanola Valley (Espanola, NM) to battle the Sundevils in a 4A District 2 challenge on Saturday, April 2. The Sundevils enter the challenge with a record of 4-8. Espanola Valley lost 7-5 in their recent league challenge against Los Alamos (Los Alamos, NM)
