In Thursday's non-league contest, the Bluefield Beavers (Bluefield, WV) softball team held off the host Woodrow Wilson Flying Eagles (Beckley, WV), by a margin of 9-8.
With the triumph, Bluefield moves its record to 4-2 on the year. The Beavers host Graham (Bluefield, VA) to play the G-Men in a non-league contest on Tuesday, April 4. The G-Men come into the contest with a record of 3-3. Graham won 14-13 in their recent non-league contest against Galax (Galax, VA)
In their next game, the Flying Eagles play the Midland Trail Patriots (Hico, WV) in a non-league contest, on Friday, March 31. Woodrow Wilson will attempt to move on its 3-5 season record. The Patriots come into the contest with a 1-1 record after their 8-0 non-league loss to Independence (Coal City, WV).
