Baker Gators (Baker, FL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Central Jaguars (Milton, FL), 4-2 in a league challenge.

The Gators now own a 9-0 record. They take the field next when they host Northview for a 1A District 1 challenge on Monday, April 4. Baker will battle a Chiefs squad coming off a 6-1 non-league loss to West Florida (Pensacola, FL). The Chiefs record now stands at 6-7.

With the loss, Central falls to 4-4 on the campaign. The Jaguars host Jay (Jay, FL) to battle the Royals in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 5. The Royals enter the challenge with a record of 4-5. Jay lost 9-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Niceville (Niceville, FL)
